3.4- Billion for the headquarters of the DHS to house 14-thousand of its 35-thousand employees, 34-billion in grants parceled out to the fifty states and then distributed to every county w/in the states. 73-Fusion centers that gather information about what and how? The TSA under the umbrella of the DHS appears to be dedicated to obstructing passengers and searching the diapers of toddlers when all of us in LE know how to do it at less cost but not so politically correct. And your odds of being a victim 1 in 3.5-million. None of this is cost effective and may well have violated the 4th Amendment.

This from the latest Gallup Poll:

“Forty-nine percent of Americans believe the federal government has become so large and powerful that it poses an immediate threat to the rights and freedoms of ordinary citizens. In 2003, less than a third (30%) believed this.”

And most have no idea what kind of technology fusion centers actually use. My guess is, if Americans did know, this number may jump to from 49 to 75 percent.

Terrorism is not as big a threat as we have been made to believe, we must ballance the risk-v-the cost; we need to spend less and do less. The Constitution states “provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States.” When in modren day Europe the former Yugoslavia fell into civil war all of Europe looked to the USA for blood and treasure, they did not lead the way. When the issue of Libya, which is in the interest of the Euro-Zone, flared, they agian looked to the USA. 65-plus years have passed since WW-2; it is time to reconsider our deployment in Europe. Trust in goverment erodes when those elected believe they can do as they want; in the society most of us understand you decide where your children go to school, how to save, what health insurance you need/want. In political society that is decided for you. When agianst your will 1.5-trillion is spent and the Conctitution is set aside groups like the Tea Party will rise. I have seen the signs “This is what democracy looks like.” My friends that is what freedom looks like!
